This is a fine and very well made cradle with two charging options:
1) A USB connection from the unit directly to your computer.
2) An AC/DC power connection directly to a wall outlet.
The Palm TX fits very snugly within the cradle which is also heavy enough not to fall over like some other cradles available in the marketplace. The cradle also has a nice blue LED light (that can even be used as a nightlight) that is illuminated whenever the unit is powered (no matter which method is being used above).
This cradle has never given me any trouble at all for many charging sessions and has performed flawlessly. I highly recommend it.
